How I wept, deeply moved by your hymns, songs, and the voices that echoed through your Church!
What emotion I experienced in them!  Those sounds flowed into my ears, distilling the truth in my heart.
A feeling of devotion surged within me, and tears streamed down my face -- tears that did me good.
(St. Augustine, Convessions 9:6, 14)

If you play an instrument or sing, WE NEED YOU! Whether it was playing in a garage band or school band,  singing in a school choir or just singing in the shower, we always welcome volunteers to join in our liturgy. Your talents can be used to elevate and enhance worship at the church, so please don’t be shy!  Please contact Karen George if you would like more information.

Adult Choirs

The Holy Infant of Prague 8:15 am & 11:15am Adult Choirs feature 20-30 singers and musicians (ages 14 years and up) with the largest ensemble featured at the 11:15am Sunday Mass.  The combined choirs and musicians are also featured at the Christmas Eve Mass, Holy Week, and at other special occasions throughout the year.  The Adult Choir prepares a diverse repertoire of music, from contemplative to uplifting, from gospel, to chant, to great classics.   Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the church, from September through May. The choir is entirely composed of volunteers, and many cannot read music; however, we are a family who work and play together, and all musical skill levels and backgrounds are welcomed.  Please contact Karen George if you would like more information.

The goal of a cantor is to serve as song leaders at the celebration of the Mass.  It’s more than just being a soloist.  It is helpful to have a strong voice, ability to articulate clearly, and a preferably trained singing voice.  Rehearsal for the 5:00pm Saturday Mass is at 4:00pm with the accompanist for that Mass.  Rehearsal for the 8:15am Sunday Mass is at 8:00am with the accompanist and rehearsal for the 11:15am Sunday Mass is at 10:50am with the choir and all musicians.   Cantors at the 8:15 and 11:15 Masses are also choir members.  Please contact Karen George if you would like more   information.

Talented instrumentalists ages 14 and up who play a stringed (including piano), woodwind, brass, or percussion  instrument and would like to play an instrument at the 11:15am Sunday Mass,  Christmas Eve Mass, Holy Week Masses, and/or Youth Masses are encouraged to join!  Please contact Karen George if you would like more information.
